Deirdre Du Bato, President

Deirdre DuBatoA resident of Mount Sinai since 1978, Deirdre has served as Chair of the Beautification Committee which was responsible for having the 355 trees planted along Route 25A. She has also served as Recording Secretary, Vice President and is currently in a 4th term as President. During this time Deirdre was an active member of the Park Committee which ensured the Heritage Park--not a Home Depot--would occupy 'the Wedge.' Chairing the Zoning Committee has also been a long term commitment.
Deirdre began her career as a Science teacher, worked with her husband at his Animal Hospital and is currently in her 15th year in real estate working for Prudential. She is married and has 3 children all of whom went through the Mount Sinai School System and is an active Rotarian--a group of business people committed to giving back to the community.

Ed Stasiewicz, Vice President

Ed StasiewiczA resident since 1996, Ed joined the Civic as a member shortly after moving to Mount Sinai. As a life-long resident of Long Island, Ed has witnessed the changes that have taken place over the years and is interested in trying to preserve the character of our community. Ed holds advanced degrees in Finance and Information Systems.

In addition to his role with the Civic, he is active with the Association of Financial Professionals and has enjoyed coaching for the local soccer league. He is married and has three children.

Vincent Gentile, Treasurer

Noonan PhotoA resident since 2005, Vince and his wife Gloria moved from
Glen Head into the Hamlet at Willow Creek. They have four
adult children-three on Long Island. Vince is an accountant,
CPA and owned a financial consulting firm in NYC.

Having moved to Long Island when they married, Vince is
interested in working to maintain the lifestyles we all enjoy.

Lorraine Yonks, Membership Secretary

Originally from Miller Place, Lorraine has lived in Mt Sinai for the last 10 years. She has three boys in the Mt. Sinai schools and works as an aide in the High School. She is very active with Cub Scout Pack 390 and Boy Scout . Her husband Brian is a Mt. Sinai Chiropractor and is the Medical Director for the Chamber of Dedicated Merchants of Mt. Sinai, Miller Place, Sound Beach and Rocky Point. She has served on the Civic Board since 2006. Lorraine has seen many changes to our community over the last few decades and is dedicated to preserving our small town as well as the beautification of it. She feels fortunate enough to have her family enjoy our area as she did growing up.

Dick Noonan, Recording Secretary

Noonan PhotoOriginally from Huntington, Dick moved into The Ranches at Mt. Sinai in September 2002 with his wife Bernadette. They have four adult children. He retired from the New York City Police Department as a Deputy Chief Inspector in 1983 and worked as a Vice President for Pinkerton's and for Merrill Lynch before retiring for good in 1993.

He became active in the HOA of The Ranches where he currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors. He has been an active member of the Land Use Committee of the Civic, particularly involved with the plans for the congregate care facility, porposed by New Life Management (Jefferson's Ferry).

Patty Kennedy, Sargeant at Arms

Patty KennedyA resident since 1995, Patty relocated from New Jersey to be closer to relatives, She was drawn to a community where "we can step outside our front door and chat with neighbors while our children play together." She considers herself fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom with her children during their formative years.

Patty serves as an enthusiastic member of the Park Committee and looks forward to enjoying the many amenities our Central Park will provide for all of her family members and fiends. She co-chairs our Halloween Festival and has volunteered for other community events. Patty is married and the mother of two young boys and a baby daughter. She enjoys the civic because it "provides a forum for my ideas and affords me the opportunity to shape my community in positive ways."
